The first question you will probably hear us ask you is, “What is your application?” That discussion will then identify how we can best work together. Every long distance carrier has its strengths and weaknesses. Many of them will do their best to find something to sell you, even if it is not the best fit. We would rather have some of your business and all of your respect, than all of your business and none of your respect. If your application is a better fit elsewhere, we will tell you, and if it is something we excel at, we will show you.
Dedicated 1+
Every company has their bread and butter product. It is the mainstay of the company and has the bulk of their focus. Dedicated 1+ outbound long-distance is that product for ATI. We have grown our business on the OC-12s, OC-3s, DS-3s and countless DS-1s we have installed for our customers. Our customers are frequently telecom companies that depend on these services for their livelihood, and they enjoy the professionalism and service provided by ATI.
Dedicated 8XX
Dedicated Toll-Free service is the perfect complement to outbound 1+ service. We are comfortable handling the traffic for anything from a handful of toll-free numbers up to inventories containing several thousand. Our carriers provide a wide range of advanced features, from Geographic or Time of Day Routing, to payphone blocking. If you have a large inventory of toll-free numbers, or if they are the heart and soul of your business, we do recommend that you become your own RESPORG. We can still handle the traffic, but the redundancy available to you as a RESPORG is indispensible.
Switched 1+ and 8XX
ATI is fully capable of handling the single phone lines for business or residential accounts, but generally pass on these opportunities unless the locations are an add-on for an existing customer with dedicated service. The long-distance companies that specialize in this business have a different structure, with one Customer Service Rep for every 2,000 – 3,000 end users. It would be impossible to support such a customer base with the 1: 25 ratio of Technical Account Managers to end users that ATI lives by.
Internet
ATI began providing Internet service many years ago as competition was heating up and the large voice carriers were content to sit on the sidelines. The industry has changed and our major providers, like QWEST and Global Crossing have actively entered this market, reducing prices and coming in at a competitive rate against other tier 1 carriers.
MPLS
Multi-Protocol Label Service, or MPLS, is the new standard in transmission for WANs and LANs. It allows you to effectively combine Frame Relay and other protocols on the same network that can also handle your VoIP transmissions. The service is less expensive than traditional Frame Relay, and has great cost-savings potential as you can use it for both voice and data transmissions. Our technicians will work with you to size up your network to prevent buying too much bandwidth and over-paying, or not ordering enough and suffering through congestion.
SMS
The latest product we are working on is Short Message Seri vice (SMS), also known as text messaging. Text messaging is an essential when marketing to the 12 to 29 year old demographic and is growing to replace other traditional forms of telemarketing. The service is planned to be released as SMS aggregation service in the initial stage, and later on with an API allowing for cell phones to opt into campaigns and buy services.
